The detailer checks the condition of the paint and surface.You choose your coverage (paint, glass, alloys, plastic trims) and the type of coating (some diamond coatings promise up to 9H+ hardness).
Thorough hand wash with pH-neutral shampoo.Iron remover, tar remover, and clay bar used to get rid of all embedded contaminants.Essential for bonding.
The paint is machine polished (single or multi-step) to remove:
Swirl marks
Oxidation
Fine scratches
The cleaner the surface, the better the coating will bond and the better the gloss.
After correction, a panel wipe or isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution is applied to strip any leftover oils or residues.Leaves the clear coat "naked" for perfect coating adhesion.
Applied with a microfiber applicator block or suede cloth in small sections (2x2 ft).
Left to flash for a short time (30 sec to 1 min depending on the product). Then buffed off with a clean microfiber towel.
Some systems require multiple layers with wait time in between.💡
Some coatings are infused with SiO2 (silica), carbon, or even graphene -depending on the brand.
The coating starts curing immediately, but full curing can take up to 24–48 hours.Some professional coatings may be heat-cured with IR lamps.Avoid water, rain, or washing for at least 2 days post-application.
